A Magical Louisiana Wedding: Bobbi & Art’s Intimate Celebration

November 17th was a day to remember as Bobbi and Art celebrated their love in an intimate and heartfelt wedding at the stunning Maison Lafitte in Mandeville, Louisiana. Surrounded by close family and friends, the couple created a day that was as unique and special as their journey together.

A Love Story Born in Uncertain Times

Bobbi and Art’s story began during the pandemic when they met on Bumble in July 2020. What started as online conversations during an isolating time blossomed into a deep and enduring love. Their relationship grew through their cherished weekly date nights and lunch dates before they moved in together. In July 2023, Art popped the question, marking the next chapter of their love story.

An Intimate Gathering Full of Love

The couple chose to keep their wedding small and meaningful, with only around 30 guests in attendance. Bobbi’s maid of honor, Cheryl, and Art’s best man and brother, Danny, stood by their sides, while their children played a significant role in the day. The intimacy of the celebration allowed every moment to be deeply personal and heartfelt.

Art’s sister, Michelle, who coordinated the wedding, brought the vision to life with her incredible attention to detail and design. From the moment guests arrived, they could feel the warmth and love that defined the day.

A First Look to Remember

Before the ceremony, Bobbi and Art shared an emotional first look near the water. As Bobbi approached, Art couldn’t hold back tears seeing his bride for the first time. The moment was made even more memorable by an unexpected yet delightful addition—a nearby couple, affectionately nicknamed “the kite people,” invited the couple to fly their colorful kites. The playful portraits captured during this moment were a beautiful reflection of the couple’s joy and love.

A Ceremony That Honored Family

The ceremony was short and sweet, yet profoundly moving, as it included the couple’s children in meaningful ways. Bobbi’s aunt carried a photo of her late parents, ensuring they were present in spirit. Cheryl, the maid of honor, incorporated sentimental touches, including a custom bouquet charm for Bobbi and a keepsake for Art’s family in memory of his father.

A Feast to Savor

Guests were treated to an unforgettable dining experience. From the delicious hors d’oeuvres to the decadent desserts, the food was a standout feature of the night. The highlight? Truffle fries and hot peach cobbler served in miniature cast-iron skillets that doubled as take-home keepsakes. While there was a traditional wedding cake, Art's favorite dessert inspired the addition of pies, adding a personal twist to the festivities.
